Isaías Díaz is the Managing Director for Africa at Dufry. He oversees the retailer’s operations on the African continent covering Cape Verde, Egypt, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Morocco, Mozambique, Madagascar and Nigeria. Isaías is also the General Manager of Dufry Morocco.
Previously, Isaías was part of Dufry’s human resources team managing Southern Europe and Africa. He served as Operations Deputy Director at World Duty Free Group for Southern Europe & America until the company was fully integrated within Dufry.
Isaias graduated with a law degree at the University Complutense (Madrid). He also holds Master’s degrees in Business Administration from IE Business School (Madrid) and in Marketing and Commercial from ESIC Business School, also in Madrid.
François Bourienne joined Abu Dhabi Airports as Chief Commercial Officer and Member of the Executive Committee in May 2021. He oversees all commercial activities across the airports group, ensuring that stakeholders and customers using Abu Dhabi Airports benefit from the company’s array of sophisticated commercial offerings.
Previously, François held the position as Chief Commercial Officer Airport for Glasgow Airport and AGS Airports. During his time there François successfully grew traffic and revenue for both Glasgow and AGS Airports alongside bringing new airlines, retailers and retail concepts to the airports. In parallel he served as Chair of the UK Travel Retail Forum and a Board Member of the European Travel Retail Confederation.
With a career spanning over 20 years, François was previously at The Nuance Group, a worldwide leader in travel retail. He began his career working in business consultancy with ORMIS, Accenture and Bain & Company.
François holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the business school INSEAD, alongside a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Business Law from EM Lyon.
Naledi K. Khabo is a strategy leader with 25 years of experience in operations, marketing & technology. Having developed and implemented countless of global innovative multimedia brand initiatives, she combines business and technology acumen with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for practical business applications.
A graduate of Stanford University with a degree in Industrial Engineering, Naledi began her career as an analyst at Accenture, specializing in implementing global business and technology solutions. In 2006 Naledi joined ICED Media, a digital pioneer. Following her tenure at ICED, she served as Chief of Staff at the United States Small Business Administration My Brothers Keeper Millennial Entrepreneurial Initiative. My Brother’s Keeper was former United States’ President Barack Obama’s national initiative to increase the awareness of millennial entrepreneurship in the areas of music, fashion, film, and sports.
Naledi most recently brought her enthusiasm for innovative strategy, marketing, and technology to service global organizations focused on economic development and growth across Africa, engaging stakeholders ranging from small and medium enterprise owners to tourism Ministries and African Union Commission. She currently serves as chief executive at the Africa Tourism Association (ATA), a global trade association promoting travel and tourism to Africa and strengthening intra-Africa partnerships.
Naledi is cofounder of The Collective & Travel Is Better In Color, organizations driving inclusive engagement across the industry.
Manoj Kuriakose has served as Regional Director – JV Integration MEAI for Delta Air Lines since July 2019. He is responsible for driving the strategy and planning for Delta’s joint venture integration with Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic for the Middle East, Africa & India (MEAI) markets.
Previously at Delta, Manoj led the commercial sales team for 13 countries as Commercial Director – Middle East & Southern Africa. During this period, he was instrumental in building Delta’s footprint in the Middle East region and successfully executed Delta’s three-year turnaround strategy for South Africa. He joined Delta in May 2007 as Commercial Manager UAE to set up Delta’s Dubai/Atlanta service.
With over 27 years of airline and travel industry experience, Manoj has a deep understanding of the aviation and business environment in the Middle East, Africa and Indian-Subcontinent regions.
Manoj holds a Master’s in Business Administration from University of Strathclyde, UK and an IATA Diploma in Airline Studies. He is currently based in Dubai, UAE.
Kamil Al-Awadhi is IATA’s Regional Vice-President for Africa and Middle East (AME), one of the most dynamic and fastest-growing regions in aviation. Kamil represents IATA in 68 countries, serving 57 airlines across AME. He leads the execution of IATA’s global strategic priorities at the regional level and advocates on behalf of industry to maintain global safety levels, enhance connectivity particularly across Africa, to reduce costs for airlines and to ensure the sustainability of air transport in the region.
He works hand-in-hand with regional partners such as AACO, ACAO AFCAC, AFRAA, and ICAO towards the advancement of air transport as a social and economic enabler in the region.
Prior to joining IATA, Kamil was the CEO of Kuwait Airways and held various key positions at the airline in the areas of safety, security, quality management and enterprise resource planning over his 31-year career in the aviation industry.
A Kuwaiti national, Kamil holds an MBA in Aerospace Management from the Toulouse Business School and an Engineering degree in Aircraft Maintenance Management from Air Service Training (AST) in the UK.
Basmah Abdulaziz Al-Mayman has served as Regional Director for the Middle East at the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) since November 2018. With over 17 years of experience in the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH), Ms Al-Mayman was the manager of the International Organizations & Committees Department and the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) focal point. As one of the founders of tourism in Saudi Arabia, Al-Mayman focused on developing and strengthening Saudi relations with international organizations such as United Nations (UN) agencies and World Bank, UNESCO, UNDP, as well as other international organizations and stakeholders in the fields of tourism, heritage, museums, antiquities, and built heritage. She also served as a member of the Board of Directors of The UNWTO Sustainable Tourism – Eliminating Poverty Initiative for the Middle East Region and was a founding member of the Program and Budget Committee of the Executive Council of the same region.
Forbes Middle East published a 2020 “power list” ranking 100 leading businesswomen, with Ms Al-Mayman ranking 13th and the only woman representing tourism in the Arab world. She is also the first GCC national to hold a leading position at the UNWTO and the first woman to lead the Middle East region in the history of this international organization.
Ms Al-Mayman holds a Bachelor degree in English Literature and Linguistics from King Saud University, an MBA from Al Faisal University, in cooperation with the University of Oxford, where she studied Entrepreneurship and Comparative Managerial Issues. She also studied several advanced specialized courses in International Relations, International law, Economic and Diplomatic affairs at Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute of Diplomatic Studies at the Foreign Ministry in Saudi Arabia. She is fluent in both Arabic and English.
Aka Manouan is the Chief Executive Officer of Aéroport International d’Abidjan (AERIA) in Ivory Coast. Appointed in 2020, he is overseeing the expansion of Abidjan International Airport as it enhances its status as a regional hub and triple its capacity.
Before joining AERIA, Mr Manouan was Secretary General of the National Office for Technical Studies and Development, one of Ivory Coast’s most prestigious schools of engineering. He has also held executive roles at Ivory Coast’s Air Transport and Liaison Group (Gatl), the Air Forces of Côte d’Ivoire, and its national carrier Air Ivoire.
A former air officer, Mr Manouan attained his graduate degrees in France. He received his engineering diploma from the Air School Salon de Provence and a doctorate in aerospace and aeronautics engineering with the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace in Toulouse.
Abderahmane Berthe is the Secretary General of the African Airlines Association (AFRAA). Before joining AFRAA, he served as Chief Executive Officer for Air Mali and Air Burkina. With twenty-eight years of experience in the airline industry across Africa and Europe, he has a wealth of multi-disciplinary experience in aircraft performance, dispatch engineering, maintenance & quality operations, and ground operations.
Abderahmane received his Master’s degrees from the French Civil Aviation school in Toulouse (1987), French Aeronautical and Space School in Toulouse (1988), and the Business Institute of Toulouse (1989). He is a licensed private pilot for single engine aircrafts.
Rob Marriott, recently appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer at Aer Rianta International Middle East (ARIME), has over 30 years’ experience in retailing. He joined ARI in 2019 as CEO of Muscat Duty Free, where he was responsible for delivering a world-class travel retail experience at the new Muscat International Airport.
Rob has a proven track record in developing and delivering long-term strategy, driving global retail operational excellence, and leading teams to success. Prior to joining ARI, Rob held leadership roles at Morrisons and Safeway in the UK.
Rob is passionate about giving every colleague the opportunity to fulfill their potential, and about removing barriers to advancement. In the UK, he chaired the Women in Business forum and recently supported the Omani Women’s Day at Muscat Duty Free.

As the Chief Executive Officer, Dr Khalfan Al Shueili heads Oman Aviation Services and its five subsidiary companies: Oman Ground Handling, Oman Aviation Catering, Oman Air SATS, Oman Sales & Services (Muscat Duty Free) and Oman Aviation Hospitality. With two decades’ experience of senior executive roles including eight years in aviation, Dr Al Shueili is an expert in collaboration, design, engineering, integration, construction of mega-scale projects in Oman, the United Kingdom and United States.
In February 2018, Dr Al Shueili joined the OAG Group and became the CEO of Oman Aviation Services. Prior to this, he was the CEO of Al Sedrah Real Estate, a subsidiary of Golden Group of Companies – a portfolio of five hospitality projects including Rotana, Accor and Movenpick valued at over OMR 150 million. Between 2011 and 2017, he was the General Manager Operations Readiness at Oman Airports Management Company, where he successfully led and launched the openings of new airports in Muscat, Duqum, Sohar and Salalah. He worked with the Ministry of Manpower for design, development and implementation of various types of projects for seven colleges in technology worth over OMR 25 million.
In March 2019, Dr Al Shueili became a member of the Board of Directors for the International Air Cargo Association (TIACA).
Recently, Dr Al Shueili graduated with the prestigious National CEO Program (3rd Cohort) organized by the Diwan of the Royal Court. In 2015 he attained a PhD in Architecture in Urban Sustainability from the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow University in the UK. Dr Al Shueili received his BSC in Architectural Engineering and MSC in Civil Engineering from Drexel University in Pennsylvania, USA.
