Heinemann Egypt was established in the year 2014 for any joint venture in the Egyptian Duty-Free market between “Global Trade Technology” in Cairo Egypt and “Gebr. Heinemann” in Hamburg Germany.

In the year 2014, Heinemann Egypt was awarded the concession of Sharm El Sheikh Airport T2 after partaking in an international tender. The operation started in July 2015 and has over 50 employees. Heinemann Egypt operates a full duty-free shop, souvenir shop and an accessories shop in the departure terminal 2 with an arrival duty-free shop at the same terminal.
