THE MEADFA CONFERENCE 2014
August 06 2014, 7:18 AM

This year the MEADFA Conference returns to Dubai at an exciting time for one of the most dynamic locations in Middle Eastern travel retail. With preparations to host Expo 2020 well under way, new projects such as Dubai World Central are set to strengthen the emirate’s position at the heart of global aviation. The Conference will explore the retail opportunities that Dubai’s rapid development will bring, as well as exploring evolving traveller profiles in detail.

As major airport infrastructure projects are completed in locations such as Abu Dhabi and Doha, the Conference will also look at how Middle Eastern airport retail can take inspiration from the latest commercial concepts and sales techniques in domestic markets around the world.

The Conference will also feature debate on Africa, including analysis of customer profiles and expectations plus expert insight from retailers and brands.

Maximizing interaction between delegates and speakers is central to the objectives of the MEADFA Conference, and the programme will once again reflect that aim, with workshops on Day 1 designed to explore specific topics in detail. This year delegates will also have access to enhanced digital tools enabling them to participate in real-time votes and to put questions and comments direct to the moderators and speakers.

The MEADFA Conference 2014 will take place at the Jumeirah Creekside Hotel, Dubai on

November 24-25. Pre-registration will open in September. Full details on this and on the

conference programme will be published on MEADFA.com shortly.
